Ros Davies Ros Davies was appointed trustee to the Primary Care Respiratory Society UK in September 2008.Ros has over 20 years senior management experience and is currently Chief Executive (CE) at Women and Children First (UK), a small international development Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), which specialises in maternal and newborn health. She joined WCF in July 2007 with a brief to carry out organisation development with a view to taking the charity through a step change in raising its profile, significantly increasing turnover and establishing new programmes. Since joining she has more than doubled turnover, secured a 5-year strategic grant and attracted two Baronesses as Patrons. Ros has extensive experience of charity leadership, representation, management, financing and governance, and have worked closely with Trustee Boards for the last 7 years, advising on policy and strategy. She is a Trustee of the Acland Burghley School Trust where she supports fundraising for extra-curricula activities. Ros has volunteered for Asthma UK and, having asthma herself, she has a particular interest in the Primary Care Respiratory Society UK, particularly the work it is doing to optimise respiratory health through promoting best practice through primary care, and promoting research and improved government policy. |
