  • *PEF
    peak expiritory flow
  • **FEV1
    forced vital capacity in one second
  • ***FVC
    forced vital capacity
  • †VC
    can be referring to the IVC, RVC,EVC,SVC or FVC. It is customary to use the highest of these when interpreting the results of spirometry. It is important that members of the whole team are clear what parameters are being defined by the VC 11.
