About the award

The award is designed to be ‘achievable but stretching’ for practices, such that any well organised practice should be capable of providing the range of services required, and submitting the necessary evidence.

The award links to and/or compliments existing national quality standards (including QoF), national guidelines for respiratory care and is compatible with national strategies and policies.

There are three modules in the award:
  • Clinical
  • Organisational
  • Practice team
Each module comprises of specific standards which practices applying for the award will be required to demonstrate that they achieve using well recognised forms of analysis including audit, case studies, significant event analyses, protocols, and surveys

The award offers practices a valuable developmental experience, whilst being relatively straightforward to complete
