Primary Care Respiratory Society UK Nurse Tools

The Primary Care Respiratory Society UK has developed a series of nurse tools available to members of the organisation for adaptation and use in their local practice.  These include protocols, patient group directions, clinic checklists and our skills level document which assists nurses to identify training needs.

Our nurse tools have been written by nurses, for nurses with input from other primary care respiratory  experts.

The administration of an emergency initial dose (STAT) of oral prednisolone to adults and children of 2 years of age and older presenting with an acute episode of uncontrolled asthma

Primary Care Respiratory Society UK Skills Levels Document
The development of minimum, intermediate and advanced skills set to support practice nurses assess their own skill level in respiratory medicine and secure appropriate training and support to enable them to deliver optimal respiratory care.
