There are many groups who provide educational events, programmes and courses. We are not providing a comprehensive list but have highlighted registered educational charities who we are aware have a strong respiratory background. We have also listed UK based postgraduate courses approved by Universities that we are aware of. Unless specified, courses/programmes have not been endorsed or accredited by the Primary Care Respiratory Society UK.

It aims to provide a consistent, comprehensive and innovative approach to professional health training across the fields of cardiovascular disease, allergic conditions, diabetes and respiratory health, with the ultimate objective of transforming lives worldwide. Postgraduate Courses
Postgraduate Diploma for Practitioners with a Special Interest in Respiratory Medicine - University of Bradford
This Diploma has been developed by NHS Bradford and Airedale and is delivered by an experienced team of specialist practitioners. The awarding institution is the University of Bradford and the Diploma is accredited by the RCGP. Following successful completion of the Diploma a further period of study can lead to an MSc.
The Diploma course takes a minimum of 18 months to complete and combines taught modules and work-based learning. It is comprised of three clinical modules and a service improvement module, amounting to 120 masters level credits. The modular nature of the course allows flexibility of learning as do the local placements, which form the key component of student training. The clinical module are assessment, diagnosis and management of chronic obstructive airways disease, asthma and common respiratory problems (non-asthma and non-COPD).
Students are supported by a local specialist consultant to pursue competency based activities in secondary care settings and applying what they learn to their day to day healthcare practice. The design of the course, and the academic assignments within it, apply naturally to the specialist practitioner role, being case and evidence based.

Certificate of Advanced Study in Allergy - Imperial College London
A postgraduate level course for students wishing to develop their knowledge and skills in allergic disease. The courses can be taken as stand-alone postgraduate qualification or as part of an MSc. The content has been chosen and structured to ensure that it covers both the immunological mechanisms underlying common allergic manifestations and the most up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic techniques available to manage allergic disease. The programme has been designed to be applicable to students with a wide range of background skills who require a detailed understanding of allergic disease and who come into frequent contact with potential allergy sufferers including doctors, nurses, midwives, health visitors, and dieticians.

Masters level courses have places available for students wishing to develop their knowledge and skills in allergic disease. These short courses of 2-days duration plus access to online e-learning, can all be taken as part of the MSc or as stand-alone CPD accredited short courses.
