Quick Guide - Routine Management of Asthma in Primary Care
An online user-friendly ‘aide memoir’ (click here to access), based on the new revised 2008 British Guideline on the Management of Asthma and NICE guidance on the use of inhaled steroids in the management of asthma.  The guide summarises the ‘must do’s’ for busy GPs and practice nurses and is intended for primary care health professionals to refer to in the course of a consultation. Downloadable slides of the ‘Quick Guide’ are also available (click here) for practices and PCOs to adapt for their own local use.

Consultation on a strategy for Services for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in England, PCRS-UK Resorces
The COPD National Strategy (formerly known as the COPD National Service Framework) will provide a ten-year plan for improving services and quality of care in COPD management, with a view to reducing the burden this condition places on people’s lives and on the NHS.  The Primary Care Respiratory Society UK has developed a series of web-pages which form the basis of the programme of materials and resources which will be available to you.  The first of these resources to be launched is First Steps which will help you get ready for the impending COPD National Strategy.   Click here to find out more
