Primary Care Nurses


The Nurse Committee have developed a number of materials and tools to support primary care nurses including:
  • Skill Levels document - The development of minimum, intermediate and advanced skills set to support practice nurses assess their own skill level in respiratory medicine and secure appropriate training and support to enable them to deliver optimal respiratory care.  This Skill Levels document is available for download upon request by non-members here
  • A series of  publications aimed primarily at primary care nurses working in primary care respiratory medicine.  These protocols, patient group directives (PGDs) and other materials for nurses are available for full members of the Primary Care Respiratory Society UK to download and use in their practices subject to appropriate approval from the practice/PCT.  Non-members can received copies of these documents by emailing their request to us here.
The Primary Care Respiratory Society UK welcomes affiliation with local respiratory nurse groups.   If you are a member of an existing local group and would like to consider affiliating with the Primary Care Respiratory Society UK, please do contact us (telephone: Tel 0121 351 4455) or email us for further information.

The Primary Care Respiratory Society UK Nurse Committee, chaired by Stephanie Wolfe meet regularly to examine how to best support our nurse members.  For details of members of the Nurse Committee please click here.
