Submission Deadline: 30th June 2019
Share your work
Whether you have implemented guidelines in your practice or locality, done the basics well, or have introduced an innovative approach to delivering respiratory care in a primary or community care setting, the PCRS conference is an opportunity to showcase your work, share your experiences and discuss the outcomes. Other healthcare professionals will undoubtedly be able to learn from your experiences and benefit from seeing what you have done to help them improve the care, outcomes and experience of their patients with respiratory disease – so don’t hold back, make sure you submit an abstract. If you want to discuss whether your work is suitable for sharing or you don’t feel confident to write an abstract contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put you in touch with someone who can help you.
Abstract submission now open
Abstracts are invited on any projects in primary or community care, such as a new service or new way of working or results of audits, which have the potential to improve outcomes for our patients in primary and community care.
All abstracts will be subject to peer review. Authors of all abstracts accepted for the conference will be invited to prepare a poster for display throughout the conference and the authors of a selection of the highest scoring abstracts will have an opportunity for a short presentation and discussion of their work in a dedicated poster discussion session. Best practice / service development abstracts will be also featured in the service development sessions and a small number may be invited to give an oral presentation.
Publication of abstracts
All abstracts accepted for the conference will be published on the conference app and all abstracts that have not been published elsewhere will be published in the PCRS membership publication Primary Care Respiratory Update.
A free conference place and a bursary towards cover travel and accommodation (£100) for the 2020 PCRS conference will be awarded to the best service development / best practice abstract. In addition, complimentary registration for the 2020 conference will be awarded to
- The ‘best designed and presented’ service development / best practice poster, judged on impact and clarity of poster, by the conference organising committee.
- The most patient-centred poster as judged by the PCRS lay patient and carer reference group.
