Advanced nurse practitioner / Sr Lecturer

Elaine has worked extensively in respiratory medicine and in particular pulmonary rehabilitation, founding the countywide COPD / pulmonary rehabilitation service in Worcestershire . She works as an advanced nurse practitioner for Worcestershire health and care trust and as a Senior lecturer in COPD at the University of Gloucestershire. She recently set up 'BreatheHappy' which is a social enterprise providing accessible, socially driven support interventions which focus on physical activity and social connenctedness for people with chronic respiratory conditions. Elaine founded 'pulmonary rehabilitation week UK' along with Paul Mills and is a qualified teacher of tai chi movements for wellbeing (TMW). She is a strong advocate for engaging with nature and the outdoors for health benefits and aside from work enjoys the company of her animals.
