Senior Clinical Psychologist
Harefield Hospital, Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS
Dr Ford is a Senior Clinical Psychologist within a tertiary Specialist Cardio-Thoracic Centre in the UK. She has worked for over 10 years in the field of Clinical Health Psychology, spanning paediatrics to geriatrics, from cancer to epilepsy. More recently her work has focused in the fields of respiratory, cardiac and critical care.
Dr Ford has a passion for paying attention to mental health, when physical health might be challenged - particularly relevant in the era of a pandemic. She also has a passion for education with regards to psychological adjustment post critical illness, and is a visiting lecturer for this specialty at Imperial, UCL, and Brunel. Dr Ford is an active member of her professional networks, and has contributed to guideline development on psychological well-being post COVID for the Intensive Care Society.
