Agenda

Programme faculty

The multi-disciplinary faculty for the programme are all practising clinicians who understand the realities and challenges of the job and are keen to help with your specific learning needs. Sessions on hot clinical topics and a policy update will also ensure you are up to date with developments in the clinical world and on the NHS environment.

Join us for a two-day workshop exploring how to utilise patient feedback in order to evaluate a project or service. The workshop is delivered by healthcare practitioners who will guide you through the techniques and methods available to you so that you are able to evaluate whether the desired patient outcomes are being achieved. They will share with you their own experience of gathering patient data and how it impacted their service. A mix of taught sessions and working in small groups will enable you to develop your own survey/data collection exercise in a final workshop session to take away and implement.

Gathering the views of patients is essential if we are to deliver the outcomes patient’s want. Led by PCRS members and guests, this workshop explores how to evaluate a project or service by gathering feedback from patients.  Delivered in a dynamic and supportive environment with PCRS peers, this event gets under the skin of patient based outcomes to assist you to demonstrate the impact of your service.
The workshop will cover -

  • Why the patient’s view matters
  • What factors to consider when designing a survey or data collection exercise
  • The best use of qualitative and quantitative data
  • How to select patients for inclusion
  • When to use different methods of data collection
  • How to critique survey based research articles
  • Practical examples from speakers of using patient data to shape their service

And finally you will have an opportunity to design your own survey for data collection to put all the theory into practice. The Event will leave you inspired about how to engage with your patients to explore their opinions and consider what is really important to them.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis so don't miss out on this opportunity to attend.

Refreshments throughout the workshop and dinner on day one are provided.
