"Supporting Someone with Breathlessness” website launch

The overall winning abstract of the PCRS Respiratory Conference 2019 "What informal carers of people living with breathlessness in advanced disease want to learn about “What to expect in the future”" by Morag Farquhar, Gail Ewing, Sylvia Barnes, shared the plans of researchers at University of East Anglia to launch the "Supporting Someone with Breathlessness" website – a resource for informal carers (family and friends) of people with breathlessness that is evidence based, mapped to carers’ learning needs and preferences, and can be used by carers on their own, explored in peer- or clinician-led support groups, or in one-to-one sessions between clinicians and carers (and patients). It is the product of the NIHR-funded Learning about Breathlessness research programme.

The website is now live at: https://supporting-breathlessness.org.uk/ – please do take a look, explore it and share it with informal carers you support, as well as colleagues and networks. The research team would be very grateful of feedback either via the website’s feedback page or by email: LaB.2@uea.ac.uk
