Scientific Programme

Showcasing cutting-edge respiratory research and practical solutions for primary care and family medicine.

This is the 9th IPCRG Scientific Meeting and is being hosted and organised by PCRS, together with the IPCRG. We are grateful to our sponsors and exhibitors who have contributed funding towards the event in return for exhibition space, and/or other marketing opportunities. Neither sponsors nor exhibitors have had any input into the conference programme. View the full list of sponsors and exhibitors.

The main programme will feature a rich, multi-stream agenda showcasing abstract presentations, interactive research cafés, and facilitated research discussions. Sessions will focus on the diagnosis, management, and service delivery of respiratory diseases commonly encountered in primary care and family medicine, providing delegates with opportunities to share evidence, explore innovations, and discuss practical solutions to real-world challenges.

The meeting will open with a keynote plenary address from Professor Sir Aziz Sheikh, Nuffield Professor of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford, and Co-Director of the Centre for Applied Respiratory Research Innovation & Impact (CaRRii) who will share his perspectives on the use of big data in respiratory research and its potential to transform patient care, service design, and population health outcomes.

Delegates will also have the option to attend the IPCRG research school, an optional training programme designed to build research capacity, confidence, and competence among primary care clinicians and early-career researchers.  The research school will take place on the 18th April 2027.
