The IPCRG is pleased to announce a new research school on writing for a journal. This 3.5 hour course will take a deeper look at what peer-reviewed journal reviewers expect in the pathway from designing a study through to the methods, analysis, and how best to present this work as a journal article.
We are pleased that the editor of our journal, the npjPCRM, Prof Ioanna Tsiligianni, is delivering this research school. Ioanna brings extensive experience of managing the journal, reviewing articles and has run several well received courses on writing for publications and becoming a reviewer.
The research school will cover:
- What is expected from your study design, methods and analysis
- How best to present the data - the right information in the right place
- Orientation to the audience, while maintaining broadly understandable text
- How to integrate your critical appraisal skills
- General tips: the editors view
- The scope of the npjPCRM journal
- Understanding the reviewers perspective and learning how to become a journal reviewer.
The Research school takes place on Sunday 18th April from 13.30 until 17.00, in Oxford, UK, the day before the IPCRG 2027 Scientific meeting. You can register for the research school when you register for the Scientific Meeting.
