Liz Wilson

Liz has been working in primary care for 16 years. Over this time she expanded her role to working with the CCG to improve services for patients with respiratory diseases and to support nurses to deliver those services. In 2012 she set up The Birmingham Practice Nurse Respiratory network as a platform for education and networking for nurses with an interest in Asthma and COPD. Earlier this year she joined forces with Respiratory Care Solutions (social enterprise) ,and relaunched as Birmingham Respiratory Interest Group (BRIG) In 2017 Liz lead one of the sites for testing the feasibility of asthma diagnosis pathway for the new ASTHMA NICE Guidelines. She is currently a Respiratory Nurse adviser for The National Services for Health Improvement, Liz is passionate about supporting nurses in primary care to realise their value and potential and use their voices to continually improve patient care.
