We are a group formed of multidisciplinary health professionals focusing on best respiratory care in our area. The group offers an opportunity to network, share best practice and attend regular educational meetings. It is also an opportunity for integration of various teams, including but not exclusive to GP practices and community pharmacy.

We are a friendly group of healthcare professionals from across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICS who network and share best practice. We bring complex case studies for discussion and regional updates to the meetings. We would love to welcome new members from all professions and clinical areas. We are developing an online education program and are putting on regular face to face educational meetings as well.

Humber Respiratory Champions

The Primary Care Network (PCN) Respiratory Champion role was introduced across Humber in 2021 to improve respiratory care and strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration. Despite being an unfunded role, champions receive ongoing education and clinical support from local respiratory leaders. Acting as advocates for best practice, they drive improvements in respiratory care across the region.

North West Leicestershire Federation Respiratory Group

South Hampshire Respiratory Journal Club

The group welcomes all healthcare professionals with an interest in respiratory, within all areas of healthcare. Regular attendees include practice nurses, respiratory nurse specialists, respiratory physiotherapists, pharmacists and GPs. We meet 4 times a year and are supported by a variety of pharma companies who help by funding the venue and refreshments. We ask attendees to choose topics to cover or be discussed and we encourage sharing of best practice at the meetings. Anyone keen to develop their presentation skills are invited to share topics relevant to their expertise and knowledge in a friendly and supportive environment.

South London Respiratory Interest Group

Open primary care multidisciplinary forum for clinicians with a special interest in respiratory medicine. Group's focus is on sharing best practice, discussing case studies, and QIPs, networking and constantly developing skills within the respiratory medicine field. Everyone welcomed. The group is meeting virtually at present.

We meet at least three times a year and have talks from specialist clinicians. Any new resources and information is shared via the group email. We welcome new members.

SRIG - Somerset Respiratory Interest Group

The Somerset Respiratory Interest Group provides ongoing support for those caring for patients with respiratory disease. It enables opportunities to update, develop knowledge and skills and ultimately to improve respiratory care through education, expert speakers and by sharing experience and best practice through networking and case based discussion. The agenda is based on requests from feedback forms, tailored to the group.

Sussex Integrated Respiratory Care Network

The Sussex Integrated Respiratory Care Network is a multi disciplinary group of professionals with an interest in respiratory care. We have a wide range of members including Specialist Nurses, Physiotherapists, Practice Nurses, GP's, Consultants, Physiologists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants across the full integrated care pathway of primary care, community, secondary care, hospice and voluntary sector.
The aim of the network is to provide shared learning, training opportunities and support through an online forum and education sessions.

These sessions will be supported by joint educational sponsorship from a number of pharmaceutical companies.

SYRIG (South Yorkshire Respiratory Interest Group)

SYRIG are a peer support respiratory interest group meeting approximately bimonthly and providing a mixture of face to face and online events. We source speakers from the South Yorkshire area and Nationally and aim to keep our membership up to date with local changes as well as national issues and provide opportunity to network with likeminded professionals. We have a mixed membership which includes physiotherapists, pharmacists, GPs, Nurses, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Secondary Care Consultants - any health professional is welcome. The group is based in Wiltshire and holds a yearly conference, there is also a very active whatsapp group through which members can ask questions and keep up to date with what is available locally in terms of education. We actively support each other and can set up informal mentoring partnerships to help nurses new into respiratory care, or taking on a new skill or disease group. Whilst the group is mainly nurses we welcome allied HCP who have an interest in respiratory disease in Primary Care.

York and North Yorkshire PCN's

This is a Respiratory Forum/Respiratory Interest Group which hold meetings for York and North Yorkshire. Educational sessions are carried out every 6-8 weeks via MT, those that usually attend are Respiratory Lead Nurses/GP's in respiratory interest and HCA as well as Pharmacy staff who are involved with asthma and COPD. We get together to talk about what we can learn from each other, share ideas and knowledge, and identify learning needs.
