photo of Sian Jones-BarryHas been a nurse since 1985 when training commenced, worked in many areas over the years from secondary care to private nursing home. Has worked in the community setting since 2000 and within primary care for the last 5 years. Have been involved in care for respiratory patients for the last 20 years, and has been a respiratory lead when started working within primary care. The main focus on the role is to support GP practices with caring for their respiratory patients, either via independent clinics, support clinics with practice nurses/health care assistants, support in spirometry clinics. 40% of the role incorporates education of patients, practice nurses, health care assistants, doctors, medical and nursing students. Has been involved in developing educational presentations, has been involved and developed education programmes for spirometry and respiratory education for the welsh awarding body Agored. Currently finalising a CPD document for Primary Health Care in preparation for publishing
