Claire Young

photo of Claire YoungClaire Young is an experienced Lead General Practice Pharmacist within the Mid-Ulster Federation of GP Practices, Northern Ireland with a specialist interest in respiratory care. She is an independent prescriber and has completed an MSc in Advanced
Pharmacy Practice. Her project focused on the cardiovascular co-morbidities of COPD and Claire has presented this research internationally. Claire is currently leading on a project to roll out a new cardiopulmonary COPD template throughout the Mid-Ulster Federation.
Claire is passionate that respiratory patients should be provided with the best possible evidence-based, holistic, patient-centred care and believes that high quality training and education are a key part in the process of ensuring this level of care for all patients. She is currently delivering respiratory training with Barrett McGrath EMS and the Northern Ireland Centre for Pharmacy Learning and Development (NICPLD).
