Alison Summerfield

photo of Alison SummerfieldAs a Paediatric Respiratory & Allergy Nurse Consultant at Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust Alison is the lead nurse for the CNS Team working in primary and secondary care as an independent clinical practitioner.

Alison’s role encompasses care of children with preschool wheeze, asthma, allergies, cystic fibrosis and primary ciliary dyskinesia.

Alison has been instrumental in the innovative Paediatric Role Modelling Asthma service working with primary care colleagues and has led on the implementation of the Asthma Friendly Schools initiative in Hillingdon & North West London.

Alison has a seconded role as a Paediatric Asthma Senior Delivery Project Manager with NWL ICB.
She is a member of the London Asthma Leadership and Implementation Group for Children and Young People (LALIG) and a Beat Asthma course director actively involved in delivering the Tier 3 face to face courses.

Alison was the winner of the BJN Respiratory Nurse of The Year 2023.
