Joyce Pang
Joyce is a Clinical Respiratory Nurse Specialist with over 15 years' experience and has worked in respiratory services in primary and secondary care, critical care, and clinical education. Since transitioning into respiratory care in 2018, she specialised in COPD management, respiratory diagnostics, smoking cessation, and integrated respiratory care. She has led and developed respiratory services within secondary care. This includes leading an integrated COPD Team, as well as the Southampton Targeted Lung Health Check programme and their associated smoking cessation team. This was one of the UK's first pilot sites and has presented this work at national conferences.
In her current role within a large Primary Care Network, Joyce provides specialist respiratory assessment and diagnostics. This includes spirometry, the management of acute exacerbations, and the care of patients with complex respiratory conditions. She has a passion in improving respiratory outcomes through education, service development, and innovation, and has supported the delivery of a respiratory education programme for healthcare professionals within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Joyce is the COPD Lead for the Respiratory Diseases Sub-Committee in the Association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists (ARNS).
