Sarah Baig
Sarah Baig is a highly experienced portfolio pharmacist with nearly 20 years of clinical practice across a range of healthcare settings. She holds a specialist interest in prescribing and has developed clinical expertise in renal and diabetes medicine, with a growing focus on cardiorenal metabolic disorders and obesity-related care.
Sarah is an Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham and the Training Hub Lead for the Black Country Integrated Care Board, where she supports workforce development and clinical education. Her passion lies in advancing safe, effective prescribing and optimising medicines use to improve patient outcomes—particularly in complex, multi-morbidity cases.
A strong advocate for integrated care, Sarah brings both academic insight and front line experience to discussions on obesity management and its intersection with metabolic and cardiovascular health.
