Simon de Lusignan
Simon de Lusignan a Professor of Primary Care and Clinical Informatics at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford and a sessional GP. He leads the Clinical Informatics and Health Outcomes research group including looking after one of Europe’s oldest disease surveillance systems (Royal College of General Practice (RCGP) RSC). This is a nationally representative group of general practices who share data and are willing to collect virology swab specimens and extra blood tests from volunteer patients and participants in research studies.
Simon’s research interests are on the use of routine data for surveillance, quality improvement, research and education as well as how technology has enabled new roles in health care and support self-management.
