Thomas Brown
Professor Thomas Brown is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust and Honorary Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the University of Portsmouth. He leads the Portsmouth Severe Asthma Centre as well as the Respiratory Research Department and is the Deputy Chief Research Officer for Portsmouth Hospitals University and Isle of Wight NHS Trusts. He is passionate about service improvements aiming to improve equity and timeliness of access to advanced therapies by refining pathways and addressing system barriers. He has led successful service transformation programmes developing Networked Asthma Service models and is the Clinical Lead for Asthma Biologics workstream of the Respiratory Transformation Partnership. He is also an active researcher with research interests including novel diagnostics and treatments for airways diseases as well as a keen medical educator.
