The current system of having ARTP accredited training centres will come to an end. In its place, there will be ARTP accredited trainer/assessors. These are individuals who have been accredited by ARTP as competent to run the half day practical skills workshops for people being trained for full or foundation certification. And also to run the OSCE practical assessment workshops to certify people as competent.
Both ARTP and PCRS are keen to see people from primary care becoming accredited trainer/assessors since they will have a good understanding of the primary care perspective.
For a full description of how to apply, see the relevant page of our website. You will also be required to assess submitted e-portfolios.
