Annual Affiliated Group Leaders Workshop
Surviving and thriving in challenging times
28th September 2017, Telford International Centre, Telford
Planning for success - succession planning
Managing stress - how to survive and thrive in these challenging times
Multidisciplinary groups and cooperative working with other groups
The workshop, designed especially for affiliated group leads, or those considering establishing a local group or network, aims to provide practical information that you can take away and share with your local group/network.The workshop features two key sessions; the first by Mel Canavan where she shares her successes from her own local group; focusing on the importance of having support to lead and sustain your group and how to achieve it. Dr Noel Baxter will also be sharing his experiences on the future of primary care and how it might not be as bad as you fear. We will also talk about how we can look after ourselves with tips on mindfulness.
Theere will also be plenty of opportunity for networking with your peers to allow you to share information about your own groups, their challenges and successes and explore ideas and tips that you can take back and share locally.
The meeting is FREE of charge to PCRS-UK affiliated group leaders or those PCRS-UK members considering setting up a new group or network.
The workshop precedes the annual PCRS-UK national primary care conference and immediately precedes the AstraZeneca Satellite symposium (18.30 – 20.00). If you are a healthcare professional, and plan to attend the AstraZeneca satellite symposium, you will have the opportunity to apply for the "two for one" accommodation offer for the nights of 28th and 29th September 2017. (Limited offer (100 places only) to conference delegates attending the AstraZeneca symposium only and based on first come, first served basis.)
