Laura Rush
Laura is an experienced independent Respiratory Nurse Specialist from Somerset with over 15 years’ expertise across clinical practice, education, and service development. Most of her background is in primary care which has evolved into a role focused on integrating primary and secondary care.
She is a director of a national respiratory training consultancy company, LR Respiratory Training & Consultancy Ltd, commissioned by ICBs, PCNs, and training hubs across the UK which allows her to share her knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for improving care for patients with respiratory disease with other healthcare professionals to motivate & inspire optimum care.
Laura is actively involved in pathway leadership, faculty training and national advisory roles. She provides expert consultancy and mentorship to clinical teams, supporting the development of high-quality respiratory clinics and optimised clinical care. Laura enjoys translating policy and best practice into impactful education that builds clinician confidence, embeds standards, and improves patient outcomes at scale. Laura has particular interests in asthma, COPD and spirometry. Ensuring patients get timely and accurate diagnoses and optimal management.
Laura sits on the PCRS Education Committee and the ARNS Education and Research subcommittee.
