Mark started his clinical career with the Royal Navy and has more than 25 years of patient care experience in both military and civilian settings. After significant time working in prehospital care in both the West Country and Norfolk, Mark became one of the UK's first Advanced Emergency Care Practitioners following completion of Post Graduate studies in Advanced Practice at the University of East Anglia. Mark was appointed an Advanced ECP at Whitechapel WiC, eventually becoming Deputy Lead Clinician of the WiC and leading its closure and amalgamation into the ED/UCC at The Royal London Hospital, where he continued to work as an Advanced ECP, developing his skills and knowledge in treating illness and injury including paediatric patients. Mark is currently employed as an Advanced ECP at Watton Medical Practice and as a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at Norwich Medical School, Module Lead for Primary Care on the new and innovative Physician Associate Programme.
