Gail McKeown

photo of Gail McKeownGail McKeown is the Respiratory Strategic Lead for the South Eastern Trust in Northern Ireland. She began her career as a Physiotherapist and moved into respiratory care in 2007, joining the Community Respiratory Team as a Respiratory Physiotherapist. She became an Advanced Practitioner in Respiratory Physiotherapy in 2015 before going on to manage the Community Respiratory Service in 2018.

In her current role, Gail leads service development and improvement across respiratory medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and physiology, supporting care across both secondary and primary care.

Gail has also recently accepted the role of Asthma + Lung UK Respiratory Champion for Northern Ireland, where she hopes to use her experience to support improved respiratory care for patients across the region.
