Invitation to join the MoreTrials Campaign

MoreTrials is a public campaign to make it much easier to do randomised trials in medicine. Over the last 25 years trials have become way too complex and more and more costly. As a result too many  trials don't get started, too many don't get completed and too many trials produce unreliable results. It's is all a bit of a mess.

The main cause of this is bad regulation and related bureaucracy and one regulation in particular called ICH-Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP). ICH is the International Council on Harmonization and it comprises drug regulators and the pharmaceutical industry. Other stakeholders, such as academic trialists and patient groups are not involved. ICH are currently updating GCP but are excluding other stakeholders from the development of a new guideline.

MoreTrials offers an alternative approach by bringing together all stakeholders in an open and collaborative approach to develop a new trial regulation that focuses on the key scientific principles to do a randomised trial well.
