Q: How do I join?
A: Joining PCRS is easy. You can join online by visiting: www.pcrs-uk.org/join and following the instructions there.
Q: Who is eligible for PCRS membership?
A: To be a member, you must:
- Be a qualified and registered healthcare professional / or interested in respiratory care in a primary, community or integrated care setting and/or general practice
- Not be an employee or paid consultant (full or part-time) to the tobacco industry, or not received any sponsorship or payment in kind from the tobacco industry in the last 12 months

Q: Why has PCRS membership changed?
A: Following a survey of our membership and review of responses last year, we have made some changes to our membership structure. These changes aim to empower more healthcare professionals with the resources they need to deliver the best in respiratory care. As part of this work, we have broadened our membership offer to include a standard and premium option. The benefits of each scheme are described below.

Q: What are the benefits of premium membership?
A: Your premium benefits include all standard benefits, plus:
- Access to our revalidation zone to evidence to your professional learning with ease
- Exclusive access to the PCRS Podcast and Online Learning Modules
- Ability to add up to three colleagues from your practice to share your benefits with
- Fortnightly newsletters with the latest respiratory news, research and events

Q: What are my payment options for membership?
A: You can pay annually with a credit or debit card at £59 (inclusive of VAT), and you will receive an annual renewal reminder to invite you to renew each year. Alternatively, you can pay by Direct Debit at £54 (inclusive of VAT). The Direct Debit will be automatically taken annually, ensuring no lapse in membership.
Q: When does my membership start?
A: Once you have completed the online membership form, your membership will be activated immediately. If you are paying via Direct Debit, your membership will take up to 36 hours to activate while the payment is processed.
Q: How do I renew?
A: A: Standard members do not need to renew their membership. We'll be in touch once a year to check your details are up to date. You can cancel your standard membership at any time - just email our membership team on info@pcrs-uk.org.
Premium membership is renewed annually. We will send a reminder about your renewal one month prior to expiry. You can also login to your dashboard to check if your membership is due for renewal, simply click through to renew online.
Q: What is a premium lead member and a premium group member?
A: Following a review, we have made some changes to our membership structure, this includes the renaming of some of our membership types and the introduction of new ones. All paying PCRS members (£59 or £54 per annum) are known as premium lead members.
A new benefit of membership has been introduced and premium lead members are able to share their membership with up to three individuals from their practice at no extra charge. These premium group members have access to all the benefits of premium lead membership, excluding becoming a formal member, joining a PCRS committee and a hard copy of PCRU.
Q: How do I manage my premium group members?
A: When premium lead members login to their dashboard they have the option to add the contact details of three additional members. Once added your members will be notified and instructed on how to activate their premium group membership. You are also able to remove additional members via your dashboard, once removed their premium group membership will be ended with immediate effect.
Q: Who is eligible for premium group membership?
A: Premium group membership is intended for healthcare professionals working within the same practice. If you are unsure about the eligibility of your additional members, please contact our membership team who will be able to advise you.
Q: How do I log in to the PCRS site?
A: You will find the green log in button at the top right hand side of the PCRS website. Enter your email address and password as prompted to login. If you have forgotten your password you can reset it here. Once logged in you will be able to access member-exclusive areas of the site, including your member dashboard.
All members who do not have an account will have received an email inviting them to create one. If you are unable to locate this email, or are having any other issues logging in please contact our team.
Q: How do I access member-exclusive resources?
A: Once you are logged into the PCRS site you will automatically have access to any member-exclusive resources. Please follow the steps outlined above to log in, reset your password or create an account.
Q: How do I access pre-registration or member discounted rates for conference?
A: Once you are logged into the PCRS site you will automatically have access to pre-registration and any member-exclusive discounts will be applied to your conference registration. Please follow the steps outlined above to log in, reset your password or create an account.
