The Primary Care Respiratory Society UK (PCRS-UK) is a membership society for GPs and primary care nurses who are passionate about the care of people with respiratory conditions. We’re a small charity with a big impact, and each of our trustees makes a vital contribution to the success of our organisation.
We are currently looking to recruit a lay trustee, with senior management and business experience, ideally in the not-for-profit and preferably charity sector. The ideal candidate will have experience (ideally direct involvement) with strategic collaboration/partnerships - with strong negotiating and entrepreneurial skills. S/he needs to be a strategic thinker with strong commercial and financial acumen - ideally with knowledge of statutory/grant funding sources (healthcare sector)
The PCRS-UK, committed to achieving optimal respiratory health for all, is involved with policy and campaigning work as well as research and education of primary care health professionals.
The trustees meet 3 times per year in London with occasional teleconferences as required plus regular email correspondence. The board currently consists of 2 lay and 3 medical trustees.
