Dhiren Dayal
Dhiren is an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist working in general practice in North East London, with a broad background across community pharmacy, hospital and out-of-hours services.
He has a strong interest in improving respiratory care, particularly for children and young people, and is committed to addressing health inequalities and the impact of air pollution. Dhiren is the Children and Young Person Asthma Champion for Mid and South Essex, supporting teams to identify and manage high-risk patient cohorts and to develop effective service delivery.
Alongside clinical practice, he is dedicated to education and workforce development, supporting colleagues locally and nationally through training and learning initiatives. His clinical interests include the management of airways disease, associated comorbidities and polypharmacy, with a focus on driving clinician-level change through education.
At a national level, Dhiren has contributed to pharmacy education through the review and development of respiratory learning modules for the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education. He is ARTP-accredited in spirometry and plays an active role within the respiratory community as Deputy Chair of the PCRS Policy Forum and a member of the BTS Pharmacist Specialist Advisory Group.
He currently serves as Chair of the Asthma + Lung UK Council of Healthcare Professionals.
