PCRS supports Covid-19 symptom tracker

Category

PCRS is encouraging healthcare professionals and patients to download and share a new app which will help experts to study the Covid-19 symptoms and track how it spreads.

The app has been designed by doctors and scientists at King's College London, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals, working in partnership with the health science company, ZOE Global Ltd.

It will enable them to understand more about the virus and will help the NHS to cope better with the numbers of patients with symptoms and how they are affected.

The app will help scientists to identify:

  • The high-risk areas in the UK.
  • Who is most at risk, by better understanding symptoms linked to underlying health conditions.
  • How fast the virus is spreading in different areas

Carol Stonham, PCRS Executive Chair and Noel Baxter PCRS Policy Lead say: “The more we know about the population of with and without Covid-10 symptoms, the more we can understand how the disease is progressing.

“Please share the App with your colleagues, patients, practice lists and friends and encourage everyone to take 1-minute to self-report daily, even if they feel well.”
