As part of the Supporting People with Asthma in the 21st Century project, hear from Deborah Leese and Noreen Grant on using the GINA approach to asthma management for ensuring optimal treatment for asthma patients.
Deborah Leese (Pharmacist) and Noreen Grant (GP) provide a simple overview of the GINA approach to managing asthma and how this can be effectively used, in collaboration with people with asthma, to:
- ensure ongoing effective asthma treatment,
- facilitate patient knowledge and agency of their asthma,
- address the underlying lung inflammation which causes asthma, and
- tackle SABA only/overuse.
